At inception, Pace Cetters’ focus was primarily networking within the downtown area. Over the years, however, the focus has broadened. Commitment to the community through support of charitable organizations has become an important component of Pace Cetters, concentrating primarily on women’s and children’s issues.
At the beginning of each calendar year, the Pace Cetters Board selects the organizations the Club will sponsor through a variety of support and fundraising activities, from walk-a-thons to community service projects to member luncheon raffles.

Community Service Chairs Sheryl Ehlers and Kate Malone coordinated a fabulous project this year for Valentine’s Day: creating and delivering valentines to residents and staff at Parc at Piedmont Senior Living Center. Sheryl is a master crafter and created amazing valentine kits for PC volunteers to put together and write inspirational and caring messages. What a fun activity and huge success! All 229 cards were delivered to Ginny Izydore who delivered them to her husband, General Manager of the Center. We brought great joy to those who definitely deserve it! Thank you to everyone who participated, and a BIG thanks to Sheryl, Kate and Ginny for coordinating!
For over 10 years, Pace Cetters has worked with Floyd Middle School in Cobb County. In 2021, the school as identified as wanting a garden where the children could participate. With the help of Goldman Sachs, the raised garden was established, and the herbs and vegetables were planted. Pace Cetters’ job since has been to help maintain the garden and get it ready for spring planting.
